2020 VISION

Lakshmi Bee 2020 Vision Collection shares a glimpse into our world, who we are as designers and why we are here. Fashion has always been a significant part of our art and form of expression. Inspiration from Gods creation, family and sustainability are at the heart of everything we create and do. 

Our 2020 vision collection featured sustainable, made to order pieces inspired by our different cultural backgrounds and birthplaces of Australia, India, England and Papua New Guinea. The designs and colours expressed the natural beauty of landscapes, tropical florals, and the stunning Birds of Paradise which are native to Papua New Guinea. The collection was created over a number of months, with each piece created using our up-cycling techniques and a collection of unique materials. We incorporated vintage and pre-existing garments sourced from our own wardrobes and vintage stores, fabric off-cuts and remnants collected from our studio, fabrics of cottons and silk satins collected over the years from our travels, completed with hand embroidery using beads sourced from our families hometown of Bangalore, South India.
